Rates & Insurance

Rates
$175 for the initial session and $125 per 45-minute session

Other Costs
Time spent in any administrative services including correspondence to or consultation with attorneys, physicians, or other mental helath professionals, and any requested reports will be billed at a standard fee ($100 per hour) with a 15 minute minimum charge. THESE FEES CANNOT BE FILED ON INSURANCE AND WILL HAVE TO BE PAID AT THE TIME OF SERVICE IN ADDITION TO YOUR APPOINTMENT FEE OR CO-PAY.

Insurance
I am a covered provider on many different insurance plans and will continue to provide assistance with filing claims and precertification information. It is, however, your responsibility to provide your current insurance information to me prior to your visit. Some plans require the insured to contact them initially before they will precertify your visits, and if you are in doubt, please ask for assistance. Please do not assume that because you have insurance, it will automatically pay for your visits. There is a co-pay, coinsurance, and deductible information that must be verified. If I do not have your insurance information on file prior to your visit, you will be responsible to pay the full amount when services are rendered. Again, I will gladly assist you in trying to determine your benefits, but this must be done prior to your visit.

Couple/Marriage Counseling
As of January 2016, I am no longer filing on insurance for marriage counseling. My fee for marriage counseling will be $175 for the initial session and then $125 per session. If I determine that you or your spouse need some individual sessions, I will be able to file the individual sessions, if your insurance covers mental health. If you decide you would like to schedule an appointment for marriage counseling, please contact my office at 936-639-3233 and my secretary will schedule the appointment. She can also let you know if your insurance will cover individual sessions, it they are needed.

Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:

  • Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
  • What is my deductible and has it been met?
  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
  • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
  • Is approval required from my primary care physician?

Payment
Cash and check accepted for payment. Credit and debit cards also accepted; however, a small convenience fee will be added.

Cancellation Policy
If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment, and you have not notified us at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay a $60 reschedule fee.
